Meeting Place:

We will meet for lunch at the picnic shelter on the north side of the Red Gum Parking Area in Westerfolds Park.

Entrance to the park is off Fitzsimons Lane, Templestowe. Follow the park drive down past the park works depot building to the roundabout. Turn left at the roundabout. From this point the driveway gives access to a number of parking areas. Park in the paved area to the right of the ‘Red Gum Parking Area’ sign. The shelter has some seats, but members are advised to bring their own chairs.

The walk will commence from the lunch point at 1.15 pm.

The walk will be along the bank of the Yarra River and through bushland. Part of the path is unpaved, so good footwear is necessary.

The length of the walk is about 2.5 kilometres. There is a somewhat steep downhill section at the start of the walk, but otherwise the grades are fairly gradual.
