Biographical entry Neild, J.E.
Dr J. Neild, an original Wallaby Club member, joined but also left in 1894. He was a physician and Lecturer in Forensic Medicine at University of Melbourne (1865-1904) and was Coroner's Surgeon. He was also Editor of the Australian Medical Journal, a drama critic and founder of the Melbourne Shakespeare Society.

A Private Club
The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
