Biographical entry Gillott, Samuel
Sir Samuel Gillott joined the Wallaby Club in 1899 and maintained his membersip until 1906. He was a lawyer and politician with his notable appointments being Victorian Chief Secretary and Minister of Labour, Lord Mayor of Melbourne and President of the working Men's College.

The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
