Dr P. Webster joined the Wallaby Club in 1899 and maintained his membership through to 1902. He was a graduate of Durham University in the United Kingdom before coming out to Melbourne where he was the Ear, Nose and Throat Surgeon to the Children's Hospital, and for 30 years at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. In 1899, he was Honorary Secretary of the Melbourne Ophthalmological Society.

The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
