Biographical entry Harper, Herbert Reah (1871 - 1956)

Herbert Harper joined the Wallaby Club in 1903 and maintained his membership until his death in 1956. He was President in 1923 and Treasurer 1913-1955. He was an engineer and the first Chairman of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria. He was the fabricator of high quality Wallaby Tools (not sure what this means?) and known as HRH (His Royal Highness?) by Wallabies. He was also the father-in-law of W. Kirkhope.

A Private Club
The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
