Summary

Professor W. Osborne joined the Wallaby Club in 1904 and maintained his membership through until his death in 1968. He was President in 1915. He was an intellectual polymath and Professor of Physiology at the University of Melbourne. He was also a broadcaster, author, poet and a linguist with a command of German, French, Italian, Spanish, Norwegian, Latin and a little Greek. He founded the Melbourne Rotary Club and was the father-in-law of Sir Clive Fitts.
