Biographical entry Cattanach, W. ( - 1932)
W. Cattanach joined the Wallaby Club in 1913 and maintained his membership until his death in 1932. He was Chairman of the Victorian State Rivers and Water Supply Commission. One of his major contributions was the development of Victoria water resources, the expansion of irrigation, the closer settlement program and the development of the fruit industry.

The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
