Summary

Professor John Turner joined the Wallaby Club in 1941 and maintained his membership until his death in 1991. He was elected President in 1962 and was Editor of Card with Dr R. McC. Simpson from 1963 to 1991. He was elected a Life Member in 1982. He was Professor of Botany at the University of Melbourne, a member of the Land Conservation Council of Victoria, and a foundation member of the Australian Conservation Foundation. He was also a gifted artist and a poet.
