Biographical entry Pressley, Thomas A. ( - 1982)
Tom Pressley joined the Wallaby Club in 1951 and maintained his membership until his death in 1982. He was elected President in 1979 and was Secretary 1956 to 1958. He was a Senior Principal Research Officer in the Division of Protein Chemistry, Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). He recommended standards for the safety design of children's clothing against fire. He was a Life Governor of the Royal Melbourne Hospital and a brother-in-law of Ray Garrod.

The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
