Biographical entry Simpson, R. McC. ( - 1997)
R. Simpson joined the Wallaby Club in 1958 and maintained his membership until his death in 1997. He was elected President in 1966, was Editor of Card with Professor J.S. Turner 1963-1991, Editor of Card 1991-1994 and awarded honorary life membership. He was an architect and his career positions included: Master Planner of Latrobe University and the Site Planner of the Australian National University. He was the father of C. Simpson and a son-in-law of Dr L. Mitchell.

The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
