Dr Peter Campbell joined the Wallaby Club in 1989. He was elected President in 2002 and was Walks Secretary 1994-1998. He specialised in pathology and at the Royal Children's Hospital was Pathologist 1961-1971 and Director of Anatomical Pathology 1972-1993. He had a special interest in Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). He subsequently has worked as a pathologist at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine where a room was named after him. From 2000 to 2006 he was President of the Friends of Birds Australia.

A Private Club
The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
