Biographical entry Macdonald, Roderick I.
Rod Macdonald joined the Wallaby Club in 1995. He served in the Royal Australian Artillery in New Guinea during World War II. Rod graduated as an architect from Melbourne University in 1948, spent several years working in London, and in 1962 became Senior Partner of Eggleston Macdonald & Secomb, Architects and Planners. He specialised in the design of buildings for research and education. He is the father of Roderick (Rick) W. Macdonald.

The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
