Biographical entry Alexander, K.
K. Alexander joined the Wallaby Club in 1998 and maintained his membership until 2000. He was a Research Chemist the with Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisationn (CSIRO) Division of Industrial Chemistry for 36 years and then with the Department of Civil Engineering University of Sydney for 10 years. He then returned to CSIRO for 10 years. His research fields ranged from chemistry of cement to engineering properties of concrete. After retirement, he joined the Schizophrenia Fellowship of Victoria for 12 years, specialising in education and training of those involved in managing the illness. He was President of Schizaphrenia Fellowship of Victoria and, later, Director of Schizophrenia Foundation.

The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
