- barrister and physicist
Dr John Emmerson joined the Wallaby Club in 1999. He trained both in physics and in law. In 1961 he worked in atomic physics at the University of Melbourne before moving to the University of Oxford where he worked in high energy nuclear physics and particle physics 1961-1971. In 1976 he became a member of the Victorian Bar working predominantly in intellectual property law.

The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
