Brian Snape joined the Wallaby Club in 2000. He was elected President in 2009. He trained as a chemist and was Director of BP Australia Ltd 1983-1992, President of Birds Australia 1998-1999, Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Nature (Victoria) 1993-2002, and President of Birds Australia1995-1998. Brian has always been involved with environmental issues, with a deep concern for the preservation of bio-diversity. This has arisen from a keen interest in Australian plants, both in the wild and the garden, and in bir. Brian is currently a Board Member of The Maud Gibson Trust and the Little Deseret Flora and Fauna Foundation.

A Private Club
The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
