Biographical entry Draper, Gerald
Gerald Draper joined the Wallaby Club in 2001. He was appointed The Club Auditor in 2008. He trained as an actuary and was Chief Actuary and Assistant General Manager of the Commercial Union Assurance Company of Australia (1974-1985). He was elected as a Fellow of the Faculty of Actuaries, London, in 1962. He established the life insurance business for Commercial Union in Australia in 1964 and was one of the first to be admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia. He served in the Royal Air force from 1944 to 1948.

A Private Club
The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
