Biographical entry Druce, Peter ( - 2007)
- archaeologist and solicitor
Peter Druce joined the Wallaby Club in 2002 and maintained his membership until his untimely death in 2007. He trained in law and was a solicitor with Druce and Emmerson (1967-1998). He was also a Melbourne City Councillor (1972-1978), with the VCAT Planning Division (1979-1993), and a member of the Library Council of Victoria. In later life he was also an archaeology student. He was a rower and a hill stroller. He was briefly a member of the Wallaby Club Committee and maintained his active membership until he was overcome by lung cancer - a surprising illness for a non-smoker.

A Private Club
The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
