- real estate agent and wool buyer
David Plant joined the Wallaby Club in 2005. He was elected to the Committee in 2008 and was appointed Assistant Secretary in 2009. He trained as a wool buyer but became a real estate agent in 1962. He was Vice President of the Bird Observers Club in 1985-1987 and Councillor and Secretary of The Royal Australasian Ornithologists Union in 1999-2001. He is a grand nephew of Tristan Buesst, President 1959.

The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
