Biographical entry Denholm, William T.
Dr Bill Denholm joined the Wallaby Club in 2010. He was elected to the Wallaby Club Committee in 2011. Trained in Metallurgy in Melbourne, he worked in industry until 1950, when he was appointed Lecturer in Physical Metallurgy at the SA Institute of Technology, becoming Reader in Charge of the Metallurgy Dept in 1960. He joined CSIRO Division of Mineral Chemistry in 1964, and transferred to the Division of Chemical Engineering as Leader of the Pyrometallurgy Section in 1974 until his retirement in 1990 after which he became a Consultant 1990-2004. He was President of the Australasian Corrosion Association in 1964 and a Councillor of the Melbourne Branch of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy from 1980 to1984. Bill is a member of the Victoria Welsh Choir.

The Wallaby Club is a Melbourne-based walking club established in 1894 with a strong bias towards good fellowship, talking and an appreciation of both the natural and built environments. Membership is strictly limited and is by invitation only.
