Summary

Dr Max Richards joined the Wallaby Club in 2010. A geologist, Max has had a career in earth sciences, mining industry, science and technology. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology, Science and Engineering, the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and the Geological Society of Australia. Max was a Board member of CSIRO, ANSTO and AMIRA. He is currently Chairman, School of Botany Foundation, University of Melbourne and Chairman, Advisory Board, Ian Wark Research Institute, University of South Australia. He is a Distinguished Alumni, University of New England and has an Honorary Doctorate, University of South Australia. Max was awarded the Centenary Medal and the Institute Medal, AUSIMM.
